About

Over a century ago…... Settlers came from the Portugal to a beautiful  Island called Eko in the great city of Lagos, and former Federal Capital  of Nigeria, West Africa. This island reminded them of a beach back in Portugal. They settled in but could not resist the beauty of the land. The original natives who are mainly fishermen, lived glamorous, joyous
and fun-filled night lives which further enhanced the Portuguese' resolve to blend with this beautiful settlement. The large fish catches, grilled to a juicy, tender and succulent texture garnished with fried plantain and African salad and washed down with fresh African Palm Wine appealed to the palates of every night visitor.

These Portuguese settlers decidedly named it THE KURAMO BEACH.

Kuramo in its origin depicts a place of economic fortress, of excellent splendor and glamour, a place of great fun and entertainment, and above all, a place of relaxation and joyful fulfillment.

The Kuramo Restaurant at formerly at 8775, Cloudleap Court, Suite 2, Columbia Maryland, and newly located in the heart of Maryland at 4917 Harford Road, Baltimore, in alignment with its origin and foundation, is designed to be a warm and friendly place and excellent African Cuisine. The Kuramo represents an amalgamation of diverse food culture, designed to appeal to the taste and palates of any people regardless of creed, tribe and tongue. A place where the taste lingers on your taste buds, and the aroma in your nostrils, long after you’re gone!
